MV Makruzz is a new speed cataraman which began its operations in 2009 and is operational only during season and sailing is subject to weather conditions. The present departure time from portblair is 0830 hrs and do note that you can only board this ferry if your booked flight lands by 0730 hrs at the latest. Makruzz started a second sailing on Tuesday and Thursday from October which leaves havelock at 1100 hrs and reaches portblair at 1230 hrs
Incase your flight lands later than this then you can proceed to Havelock by the 1400 hrs Govt ferry. MV Makruzz departs Port Blair at 0830 hrs(1300 hrs) and reaches Havelock at 1000 hrs(14300 hrs). It is a speed cataraman with push back seats, fully airconditioned with a snack counter also serving small bites and tea/coffee. It returns back from Havelock at 1400 hrs(1100 hrs) and reaches Port Blair at 1530 hrs(1230 hrs). By Public Ferry (Operated by Department of Shipping, Port Blair) Please note that all arriving flights into Port Blair connect with the afternoon ferry service on public ferry to Havelock but do not connect with the morning ferry. Guests can therefore connect to Havelock on the same day when they arrive. On the return journey, all guests must make a provision to spend at least 1-night in Port Blair. None of the ferry services from Havelock to Port Blair connect to departing flights. There are two daily ferries from Port Blair to Havelock. The morning ferry departs at 0630 hrs in the morning and arrives Havelock at 0900. The afternoon ferry departs Havelock at 1400 in the afternoon and arrives into Port Blair at 1600hrs
